Defending the Divine: Quran Laureate Sends Powerful Message to Those Engaging in Holy Book Burning, Quran, The Holy Book

Defending the Divine: Quran Laureate Sends Powerful Message to Those Engaging in Holy Book Burning – The girl took home the first prize at the competition, which was dubbed Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak World Holy Quran Contest which was held in Dubai in September. 16 to 22 after she took on 60 contestants.

She comes from a family devoted to the Quran because her siblings include five children, three of whom have completed their study of the holy text.

Sondos “began learning the Quran in one of the mosques in Ramtha city (in northwestern Jordan) at the age of 11 and memorized 12 parts in less than a year. She later completed her memorization with her aunt,” her uncle Saeb Sidawi told the Anadolu newspaper.

It took the girl 22 months to learn the holy text thoroughly.

“She could devote two hours each day to memorizing the Quran. In the holiday season, her routine was to begin early and work through the evening prayers,” Saeb said.

The Jordanian uncle believed that the family’s relationship to the Holy Quran to their parents was dedicated to the sacred book passed down to them and the next generation, which included Sondos.

Family members in the year 2011 set up an institute to teach the public how to memorize the holy text of Islam.

Most challenging

Sondos is regarded by her father to be “intelligent and astute.”

“It was not the first time for her to participate in Quran competitions,” Youssef Sidawi told the media.

“She also took part in an international Quran competition in Khartoum, Sudan, and another in Iran, where she secured the third place,” He added.

Youssef considers the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Contest located in Dubai to be “one of the most challenging in the world.”

Sondos claimed she could participate in the race after participating in several qualifying rounds organized through the Ministry of Endowments in Jordan.

“The Ministry of Endowments officially nominated me to participate in the competition,” the girl stated.

A message to the world

After competing against competitors from 60 nations, Sondos eagerly awaitedresults.

“Winning the first prize was the most important and happiest moment of my life,” Sondos exclaimed joyfully.

Extremists of the right have torn up and burned copies of the Holy Quran outside Islamic diplomatic missions in Sweden and Denmark in the last few weeks.

These actions have led to protests from people and governments in and around the Arab and Islamic worlds, with several nations summoning envoys from Sweden and Denmark to stop the recurrence of similar actions.

“My message to the world, especially those who try to insult the Holy Quran here and there: If you burn the pages, you will never erase what’s in the hearts,” Sondos declared.

“The Quran will always remain here,” she declared, pointing to her heart.
