Believers! Fasting is required of you, just as it was recommended to those who came before you, to develop into God in the eyes of God. 1Quran 2:183

Fasting is set for a certain amount of days. And if one of you is unwell, or should one of you be travelling, you’ll fast for the exact number of days following. If you can fast too fast, have yet to slow down) There’s a chance to earn a reward for feeding a hungry man for every day he misses. Anyone who voluntarily does more good than necessary and finds it more beneficial to him 2. 2and. The fact that you should fast is better for you if you are aware of it. 3Quran 2:184

During this month, called Ramadan, it was believed that the Qur’an had been revealed as an instruction to the people, with clear evidence of honest guidance, and as the Criterion (between right and wrong).

Also, those who live to see the month should observe it, and those who are sick or travelling should watch for the equivalent number of days instead.
