We will learn in this Special Blog Dua After 4 Rakat Taraweeh– After 4 rakats of Taraweeh, there isn’t a fixed, obligatory dua from the Sunnah, but it’s a recommended time for personal supplication (dua), often involving phrases like “Subhanal malikil hayyil lazi la yanamu wa la yamoot” (Glory to the King, the Ever-Living, who neither sleeps nor dies) or asking for Paradise and protection from Hell, though collective recitation is debated as an innovation. Many Muslims offer individual, quiet prayers for guidance, peace, and forgiveness during these breaks between sets of prayers.
What is the status of the duaa (fardh, sunnah, mustahab) that the imam makes in congregation following taraweeh salah? 2) How is the situation of the duaa (subhana dhil mulki wal malakoot…) that people read every four raka’ats? Is it worth reading? What should you do during the pause if not?
On this topic, there is no conclusive evidence. But the ruling of Du’a after Salah is followed by Du’a after Tarawih. Consequently, it is acceptable to make Du’a on your own. (Ahsanul Fataawa Vol.3 Pg.519)
Every four Rak’ats, Mustahab is required to sit quietly for a moment, recite the Quran or Tasbeeh in a low voice, or offer separate prayers of Nafl Salah. (Nurul Idhah Pg.97, Durre Mukhtar, vol. 2, pg. 46)
, SAWNCategories: PRAYER ,SAWN & Quran, Quran Jaz 1-114
Additionally, if you do not make making Du’a mandatory, it will be acceptable to do so collectively.
