Margret along with H. A. Rey produced a number of books in their time together which included The Curious George One of the most beloved classics ever along with other books that are a favorite, such as Pretzel, Spotty as well as Discover the Constellations.

 They also had pets, including two marmoset monkeys who accompanied them in some of the steamship voyages over the Atlantic. As committed philanthropists in their personal lives, a proportion of the profits from each Curious George book that is sold is donated into the Curious George Foundation that provides programs for children to encourage curiosity and interest in learning and exploring.
