Quran Surahs

Before transitioning into the memorizations of these Surahs, it is important that every Muslim embark on learning the first chapter of the Quran which is Al-Fatiha.

Both of these surahs are contained in Juz Amma which is the last chapter in the Quran.

1. Al-Kawthar

Message & Benefits: The Surah al-Kawthar is a very brief, but deep message of hope and prosperity. It has a promise of the river of Kawthar in the heaven to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

2. Al-Asr

Message & Benefits: Surah Asr is a lucid summary of the reward of time, faith, good action and intermingling towards truth and patience.

3. Al-Ikhlas

Message & Benefits: The Al-Ikhlas is as equal in its value as the entire Quran itself (the one-third) which proclaims of the oneness and uniqueness of Allah.

4. Al-Nasr

Message & Benefits: Surah Nasr, revealed in one of the final years of the Prophet, foretells of the triumph of Islam and how many will accept the religion.

5. Al-Masad

Message & Benefits: Surah al-Masad denounces the deeds of another of the fiercest critics of the Prophet as a lesson against hatred and hostility to the Prophet and his message.

6. Al-Falaq

Message & Benefits: Surah Falaq is an imploration that protects against the evils of the creation, the night which has the darkness and those who transformed into jealousy.

7. An-Nas

Message & Benefits: An-Nas is an entreaty to be shielded against the evil messages of unseen beings and human beings.

8. Al-Kafiroon

Message & Benefits: Surah Kafirun strongly proves the concept of religious freedom and religious tolerance which declares that there must be a clear distinction between the faith of the Muslims and the disbelievers.

9. Al-Maun

Message & Benefits: In Surah Al-Maun, those who do not care about the poor are defamed as absent-minded growlers of the prayer.

10. Al-Quraish

Message & Benefits: This Surah cites to the people of Quraysh the various favors granted to them by Allah and reminds them that they ought to worship the Lord of the Kaaba.
