Sacrosanct Human Rights: Navigating Universal Values for a Just World

Human Rights – In summary, the article strongly highlights the Quranic principles that affirm the value of rights for all human beings as essential and universal.

The article focuses on the one verse ( 17:70) in which it emphasizes Allah has given dignity to each human being, and emphasizes the importance of respect for all people that is based on our common humanity, rather than the superficial aspects.

The author explains that system or actions within Islam that degrade or disrespect individuals are in violation of Quranic principles and constitute human rights violations.

There are two values that universally emphasized in the book: the equal rights of every person and the selection of posts based on merit and qualifications. The author emphasizes the fact that the implementation of these ideals in society will transform it into the definition of a “heaven on earth” free of corruption that results from injustice or unfairness.

The article explores the notion of living beyond death physical, separating the concept of human “life” from the concept of “age.” The article argues that real life is measured by moral actions and deeds that restore equilibrium, while highlighting the incredibly quality of living beyond death.

Furthermore, the article criticizes the quest for greatness, but without respect for the truth, and argues that the true measure of success is adhering to Allah’s divine plan. The importance of acknowledging Allah to be the only sovereign authority is emphasized and challenges the belief that governments or individuals have the right to claim authority with Allah.

The article discusses Quranic principles that promote the dignity of human beings, meritocracy and a fervent belief in Allah’s sovereignty. It presents them as essential to fostering an ethical and moral society.

The Quran is a sacrosanct declaration of human rights as fundamental rights for every human being:

Walaqad karaWmna walaqad baniy

17:70)”NOW, in fact ( 17:70) – We have granted dignity to those who are children of Adam. [Asad]

This means that Allah has bestowed honor and dignity to every human being. Each human being deserves respect and dignity because they are human. Respect should be given to one’s humanity and not to physical traits.

Thus the most fundamental principle is that anything carried out under the guise of Islam such as the establishment of a system, the development of an idea, passing laws, or operating any business, when there is something that is disrespectful or degrades anyone, it’s not Quranic, and is not Islamic. This is an act of treason against humanity since Allah has stated that He has granted dignity to all human beings.

A third universal benefit is connected to the work ethics. The Quran refers to the universal significance of this fundamental principle that is related to the profession of life:

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا ۖ وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

46:19) ( 46:19) and to everyone is (assigned) degrees in accordance with the deeds they (have performed) and so that (Allah) can recompense them for their actions, and not let injustice should be inflicted on them. [Yusuf Ali]

The concept is that a person should be given a position solely on merit, qualifications and the performance of their the duties. You will be rewarded in full for their efforts, regardless of demographics or other factors – for instance, an elitism based on birth or a religious or temporal connection or the confederation.

There will never be any favors and one will be harmed. That will be the law of Allah’s Requital. If a person is disqualified from this merit-based selection for a job it is their right to seek justice based on God-given human rights.

So, ignoring other principles, regardless of these two principles that are (i) the equal rights of every human being and (ii) the appointment of post based solely by merit and experience, and every person receiving a full reward for the effort put forth – are accepted in a community, will that society not transform into heaven on the earth? In Arabic the root Zlm ( Dhulm) (Z – l – M) refers to things that are not maintained in their proper position which is a person being placed in a lower place that what they deserve or the reverse. This is the main cause of corruption in the society. The complaints we hear about corruption all over the place – are the consequence of this unfairness, and Zlm ( Dhulm).

However, those who deny that truth (of Allah’s Requital Law) allow themselves to enjoy luxurious worldly pleasures and comforts the only goal of their lives until the time they are dead ( 102:1). They are arrogant, and they praise themselves, causing inequality and corruption throughout the world, in complete contradiction to Allah’s command ( 55: 8-9). They become great without doing the right (balance-restoring) acts.

The Quran states:

46:20and when the ones who had a vested interest in denial of the truth will be brought in front of the flame, they are told “You already have exhausted all your share of] pleasures in this world and have enjoyed them without any thoughts of what’s to comein the present]; and today, you will be punished with the humiliation of a lifetime for gloating on earth with your arrogance, inflicting a slap on all that is right and all the wrongdoings you have committed!” [Asad]

And:

29:64) (29:64) If they were to do that, they would be aware that the world of this life is nothing more than a fleeting pleasure and a stage but, look, the eternal life is truly the only reallife, If they only knew this! [Asad]

If they could use their intelligence and shrewdness they would be able to see that if living is merely breathing continuously and nothing else, there is no higher ideals or objectives for humans. Living is merely satisfaction of physical needs and nothing more than a brief joy or a show. If they look at their thinking they will see that living is “living on the human scale.”

Life at the human level continues well beyond death. The only life that is finished with passing away is one of the bodily bodies, also known as the “animal stage of life” of humans. Allama Iqbal says:

It is the thing a human does that determines the “life” of hell or heaven.

Human beings, composed out of dust, in nature, is not light nor fire! [Baang-e Daraa]

The Quran clarifies the human “life” in contrast to human “age.” It is said that the stopping of human breath is the end of his age, but not his life. Death is the end of physical life of a person, whereas the human body continues to live. The process of aging is a result of physical processes, and it ends because of physical causes.

However “life” can be created on the righteous acts of balance (`amiluw lSaWliHati “Amilus Saalihaat) that continues to move forward, carrying these actions to the next stage after dying physically.

For those who don’t believe in this, their actions are linked to their the aging process, and their actions and the outcomes of their actions are a result of the passage of time.

They are awarded the most prestigious awards all over the world. They are credited with all the glory for their charitable acts throughout the world. They are all about the enticement of old age and they end with the finalization of their the age.

That’s their goal. Therefore, there will be nothing left to them after death. The motivation for creating a continuous stream of life is quite a lofty and far beyond their desire to achieve fame and fame. As Allama Iqbal says:

You can do this by counting the breaths you take; my method is to focus on ways to increase the quality of life. [Dharb-e Kalim]

Creating Top-Notch throughout the World

The pursuit of greatness in itself isn’t bad in and of. What is not good is attempting to attain excellence biGayri LHaqiW (without The Truth) ( 46:20). The Quran states that the mwmnyn ( Momineen) will be at the top of all the earth ( 3:139). On high on the minaret as it is declared that the llh khbr (Allahu Akbar Allah is great! Allah is wonderful!) is made, what is it actually saying? If it is true, does Allah require our declaration or affirmation that He is awesome?

No matter what we say Allah is great, Allah is supreme by Himself. He is the God-of-All-things creator of all the Universe and everything within it. In reality, this is the affirmation that Allah’s divine system when it is implemented in every part of this world will result in greater glory for the people as Allah has the supreme sovereign authority over them, as well as that they won’t recognize any other authority besides Allah within that system. This is what it means by:

‘shhd ‘n l lh l llh

– That there isn’t any other sovereign authority that we’ll accept, unless it’s the Allah’s. The people who accept and follow this system will be able to achieve excellence throughout this world ( 3:139). This is the main characteristic of the mwmnyn ( Momineen).

The Quran states:

“alaW tabuduw ilaW ha

46:21) Don’t take the oath of anyone other than that of Allah.

There is no right for anyone to rule over other humans, with the exception of Allah ( 12:67):

ini lHukmu ilaW lilaWhi

Sovereignty is only the property of Allah and no one other than Allah ( 114:2-3). Absolutely no one can be an ally in His sovereignty:

wala yushriku fiy Hukmihi ‘aHadan

18:26) ( 18:26) He doesn’t give one a part in His ruling! [Asad]

So, the basis of Islam The Khlmh ( Kalimah) (also known as Kalimah) “‘shhd’n’l L LLH is a revolutionary declaration that “no one but Allah is the sovereign ruler and the Authority” throughout the world.

When religion was replaced by the word dyn ( Deen), Muslims became satisfied with this false definition of Khlmh ( Kalimah) which states that “no one should be worshiped other than God,” and accepted the submission of barbaric tyrants as well as governments, and suffered the most extreme sort of humiliation and rebuke at their feet. Certain more traditional Muslim scholars have said that the right to perform rituals is sufficient to be a part of Islam . This is why Allama Iqbal was compelled to declare:

If Mullah is able to offer prayers in Hind,
Islam is free, and the ignorant believe!
[Dharb-e Kalim]

The purpose of sending Messengers

Every messenger conveyed the same message to his followers Don’t accept the faith of anyone else, other than Allah ( 23:2323:32, and 23:44). Based on this, we can understand the reason why their followers were after them. Prophets were threatening with severe consequences until they wished to drive prophets away. They also killed some of them (2:91 3:21, 3:21, 3:112, 3:181 and 3:183).

Who would be able to stand up to this radical calling to overthrow those with the power and authority? What is the way that those at top of the pyramid be able to tolerate an attempt to destroy the status of the game?

The messengers communicated the message of God to their followers that ultimately they would end up in a famine if they keep in their savage methods. It is not important in the eyes of Allah how or if one agrees with His will. Allah is the Creator of all things and His sovereignty is supreme over all things. He was the Absolute Sovereign when His creation of the universe and He will be forever even after the universe has gone. He doesn’t need humans to obey.

Humans require His obedience in order to be successful in the long-term. He does not penalize humans. Humans are punished based on the consequences of their own bad actions. If human behavior is not controlled, it can become brutal and wild. Tyrants gain the power to impose their own system of tyranny on the people. The past has shown that every nation was hit by its own rulers. Every messenger received the same answer when he enlisted his followers to listen to Allah’s message

waidha qiyla lahumu taWbi`uw ma ‘anzala llaWhu qaluw bal nataWbi`u ma ‘alfayna `alayhi abaana

2:170) ( 2:170) However, when told to “Follow the instructions that God gives us from the highest,” one of them responds, “Nay, we shall only follow what we observed our forefathers believed about and practicing.”[Asad]

The Quran responds to their plea to bring about the punishment:

qaluw ‘ajiy’tana lita’fikana `an alihatina fa’tina bima ta`iduna in kunta mina lSaWdiqiyna qala inaWma l`ilmu `inda llaWhi wa’ubaliWGukum maW ‘ursiltu bihi walakiniWy ‘arakum qawman tajhaluwna

(46:22-23) (46:222-23): “Hast thou come to lure us of our Gods? Then, bring to us the [doom] by which thou frightens us, if thou art an honest man. !”Then he said: “Knowledge [of when it will strike you] lies with God only: I give you the information that I’ve been given however, I can realize that you’re who are ignorant of correct and wrong]!”[Asad]

It is vital to understand this: the divine messenger’s recipients did not ask the reason why we should be punished. What could we do to be able to avoid this? What could we do to reduce the impact? In their arrogance they were challenging their messengers to cause about this destruction. In complete ignorance they asked for him to inform them of the time to stop. This is the mentality of dictators.

They do not have the habit of talking about and resolving issues. In their minds, they believe that they will never be affected since they hold the control and authority over all that is under their authority They have created every plan to safeguard themselves. However, the Quran declares that the destruction of their world comes from sources they do not even know of:

‘afa’amina laWdhiyna makaruw lsaWyiWy’ati ‘an yakhsifa llaWhu bihimu l’arDa ‘aw ya’tiyahumu l`adhabu min Haythu la yash`uruwna

16:45) (16:45) Do those who come up with bad schemes ever be confident they are certain that God will not let the earth swallow them up, or that adversity will not come their way without knowing from where it came from? [Asad]

Do those who have bad plans confident they know that Allah will not degrade them on earth or that retribution is not coming to them from sources they’re unaware of? The Quran states that the things they believe will make them successful in reality, will become the reason for their demise.

man kana yuriydu l`izaW@a falilaWhi l`izaW@u jamiy`an ilayhi yaS`adu lkalimu lTaWyiWbu wal`amalu lSaWliHu yarfa`uhu walaWdhiyna yamkuruwna lsaWyiWy’ati lahum `adhabun shadiydun wamakru ‘uwlay’ika huwa yabuwru

(35:10) (35:10) is seeking glory and might [must to understand that] all power and glory belongs to God alone. He is the only God who can lift up all positive words, and only the righteousness of His actions is praised. However, for those who slyly plan bad deeds, a long and painful suffering awaits them, and every one of they have planned will be a failure.
