61:1	سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ	Sabbaha lillaahi maa fee as-samaawaati wa maa fil-ardi wa huwal-azizul-hakeem	All that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth glorifies Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
61:2	يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ	Yaa ayyuhal-lazeena aamanoo lima taqooloona maa laa taf’aloona	O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do?
61:3	كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ	Kabura maqtan ‘indallahi an taqooloo maa laa taf’aloona	Most hateful is it in the Sight of Allah that you say that which you do not do.
61:4	إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُم بُنْيَانٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ	Innal-laaha yuhibbul-lazeena yuqaatiloona fee sabeelihi saffa ka-annahum bunyaanun marsoosa	Truly, Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid cemented structure.
61:5	وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تُؤْذُونَنِي وَقَد تَّعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا زَاغُوا أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ	Wa iz qaala moosaa liqawmihi yaa qawmi lima tu’zawinooni wa qad ta’lamoona annee rasoolul-laahi ilaikum, falamma zaagho azaaghal-laahu quloobahum, wallaahu laa yahdil-qawmal-faasiqeen	And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: “O my people! Why do you hurt me while you know that I am the Messenger of Allah to you?” So when they turned away, Allah turned their hearts away (from the guidance). And Allah does not guide the people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
61:6	وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِن بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ ۖ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ	Wa iz qaala ‘eesa bnu maryama yaa banee isra’eel innee rasoolul-laahi ilaikum, musaddiqal-lima bayna yadayya minat-tawraati wa mubashshiran birasoolin ya’tee min ba’dee asmuhoo ahmad, falamma jaahum bil-bayyinati qaaloo haaza sihrum mubeen	And (remember) when ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: “O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Tawrah (Torah) which came before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad (another name for Prophet Muhammad).” But when he (Ahmad – Muhammad) came to them with clear proofs, they said: “This is plain magic.”
61:7	وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدْعَىٰ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ	Wa man azlamu mimman iftaraa ‘alal-laahil-kaziba wa huwa yud’aa il-al-islam, wallaahu laa yahdil-qawmaz-zaalimeen	Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah while he is being called to submit (to Allah in Islam)? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers).
61:8	يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ	Yureedoona liyufthi-oo nooral-laahi bi-afwaahihim, wallaahu mutimmu noorahou wa law karihal-kaafirun	They want to extinguish Allah’s Light (with which Muhammad has been sent – Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).
61:9	هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ	Huwal-lazee arsala rasoolahu bil-hudaa wa deenil-haqqi liyuzhirahoo ‘alad-deeni kullihi wa law karihal-mushrikoon	He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the Religion of Truth (Islam), so that He makes it superior to all religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) hate (it).
61:10	يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هَل أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ تِجَارَةٍ تُنجِيكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ	Yaa ayyuhal-lazeena aamanoo hal adullukum ‘alaa tijaariatin tunjeekum min ‘azaabin aleem	O you who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment?
61:11	تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ	Tu’minoona billaahi wa rasoolihi wa tujaahidoona fee sabeelik-laahi bi-amwaalikum wa anfusikum, zalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum ta’lamoon	That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That will be better for you, if you but knew!
61:12	يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَيُدْخِلْكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ	Yaghfir lakum znoobakum wa yudkhilkum jannaatin tajree min tahtihal-anhaaru wa masaakina tayyibatan fee jannaati ‘aden, zaalikal-fawzul-azeem	(He will) forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in Gardens of ‘Adn (Eternity). That is indeed the great success.
61:13	وَأُخْرَىٰ تُحِبُّونَهَا ۖ نَصْرٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَفَتْحٌ قَرِيبٌ ۚ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ	Wa ukhraa tuhibboonaha, nasrun minal-laahi wa fathun qareeb, wa bashshiril-mu’mineen	And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allah (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad) to the believers.
61:14	يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا أَنصَارَ اللَّهِ كَمَا قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ لِلْحَوَارِيِّينَ مَن أَنصَارِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنصَارُ اللَّهِ ۖ فَآمَنَت طَّائِفَةٌ مِّن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَكَفَرَت طَّائِفَةٌ ۖ فَأَيَّدْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّهِمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا ظَاهِرِينَ	Yaa ayyuhal-lazeena aamanoo koonoo ansaaral-laahi kamaa qaala ‘eesa bnu maryama lil-hawariyyeena man ansaaree ila-al-laah, qaalahal-hawariyyoon nahnu ansaaru-al-laah, fa aamanat taa-ifatum min banee isra’eel wa kafaratcaaa taa-ifah, fa ayyad-nal-lazeena aamanoo ‘alaa ‘aduwhihim fa asbahu zaahureen	O you who believe! Be helpers (in the Cause) of Allah as said ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), to his pupils: “Who are my helpers in the Cause of Allah?” The pupils said: “We are helpers (of the Cause) of Allah.” Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the victorious.
