اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ وَاقْدُرْ لِيَ الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ

Transliteration

Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi’ilmika, wa astaqdiruka bi qudratika, wa as’aluka min fadlikal-‘azim, fa innaka taqdiru wa la aqdir, wa ta’lamu wa la a’lam, wa anta ‘allamul-ghuyub. Allahumma in kunta ta’lamu anna hadhal-amra khayrun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa ‘aqibati amri, faqdurhu li wa yassirhu li thumma barik li fih. Wa in kunta ta’lamu anna hadhal-amra sharrun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa ‘aqibati amri, fasrifhu ‘anni wasrifni ‘anhu, waqdur liyal-khayra haythu kana thumma ardini bih.

English Translation

O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge and ask for strength through Your power. I ask for Your great bounty. You have power and I have none. You know and I do not. You know the unseen.

O Allah, if You know this matter is good for my religion, my life and my future, decree it for me, make it easy and bless it. If You know it is bad for me, turn it away from me and me from it, and decree good for me wherever it is, then make me pleased with it.

Urdu Translation

اے اللہ! میں تیرے علم کے ساتھ تجھ سے خیر مانگتا ہوں اور تیری قدرت سے طاقت چاہتا ہوں، اور تیرا بڑا فضل مانگتا ہوں۔ تو قدرت رکھتا ہے اور میں نہیں، تو جانتا ہے اور میں نہیں، اور تو غیب کو جاننے والا ہے۔

اے اللہ! اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ یہ کام میرے دین، میری زندگی اور میرے انجام کے لیے بہتر ہے تو اسے میرے مقدر میں کر دے، آسان کر دے اور اس میں برکت دے۔ اور اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ یہ میرے لیے برا ہے تو اسے مجھ سے اور مجھے اس سے پھیر دے، اور جہاں بھی خیر ہو وہ میرے لیے مقدر کر دے، پھر مجھے اس پر راضی کر دے۔
