Embracing Ramadan’s Spirit: Savoring the Blessings and Lessons Beyond the Holy Month

Explore the Timeless Wisdom of Ramadan and Nurture its Spirit Throughout the Year” Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated as a way of saying goodbye for the wonderful months of Ramadan (Holy Month) and we look back on the ways in which our religious practices during Ramadaan have influenced our lives as well as our relationships with our body, our heart our minds, as well as our souls.

As Muslims as a whole, we are conscious we are aware that Islam was always a broad and all-encompassing religion. It is at the forefront of its agenda spiritual development and sincere dedication, the observance of divine directives, sustaining an environment that is healthy, reform of the human race and the empowerment of humans.

One of the most important aspects of the purpose for all prophets been the restoration of balance, and the application of social justice Quran, 57:2525. We are the heirs of that prophetic movement movement that, in order to be relevant must be relevant.

The Relevance of Faith is dependent of Practical Action

It is important to recognize that the importance in the context of Islam is not based on the significance we as “faithful” give to our religion, but how our faith’s all-encompassing approach to Islam adapts to the needs of the present.

Relevance cannot be measured through giving how to teach the shahaadah (testimony of faith) to a person who is starving or by simply praying for those poor or cut off hands from a thieves. Relevance is determined more by the desire to feed hungry during times of need, ease the suffering of those who are in suffering from injuries, and the general desire to stop the urge to steal.

The importance of Islam is determined by how the Ummah actually interacts with the world. Some people view Islam through the eyes of Muslims and If Muslims do not succeed in bringing about change, then Islam appears to be failing.

A Qualitative Perspective

There is a feeling of ascendency, mostly due to the fact that Islam (in certain areas around the world) is the most rapidly growing religion. However, it hasn’t really been about numbers, but it has always been about the concept of ihsaan (goodness) as well as the concept of itqaan (excellence).

It’s not the place we are in but rather the our qualitative contribution to society. It’s about providing optimism to those who are in situations that appear hopeless. Prophet Muhammad advised; “Allah disdains hopelessness. It is your responsibility to stand up for your faith with a clear mind.” (Abu Dawud)

Nothing is more a testament to our humanity than the ability to feel. It is this kind of mind that allows people to experience the pain of the sufferings suffered by other people, to treat others the way we would prefer to be treated and do our best to make this planet a more peaceful place each good deed at an moment.

Religion and faith can be truly effective as positive forces if people of faith recognize that we must be spiritualized of our existence and an increase in moral mind as well as empathy in our attitudes and morality in our behavior.

The wise have stated that faith cannot be manifested through wishful thinking, but rather it is rooted in pure heart and is confirmed through positive action.
