Ayah	Transliteration	English Translation (SAHEEH INTERNATIONAL)
1	Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī anzala ʿalā ʿabdihī al-kitāba wa lam yajʿal lahu ʿiwajâ.	ALL PRAISE IS DUE TO ALLAH, WHO HAS SENT DOWN UPON HIS SERVANT THE BOOK AND HAS NOT MADE THEREIN ANY CROOKEDNESS.
2	Qayyiman li-yundhira baʾsan shadīdan min ladunhu wa yubashshira al-muʾminīna alladhīna yaʿmalūna aṣ-ṣāliḥāti anna lahum ajran ḥasanâ.	(HE HAS MADE IT) STRAIGHT, TO WARN OF SEVERE PUNISHMENT FROM HIM AND TO GIVE GOOD TIDINGS TO THE BELIEVERS WHO DO RIGHTEOUS DEEDS THAT THEY WILL HAVE A GOOD REWARD.
3	Mākithīna fīhi abadan.	THEY WILL REMAIN THEREIN FOREVER.
4	Wa yundhira alladhīna qālū ittakhadha Allāhu waladâ.	AND TO WARN THOSE WHO SAY, “ALLAH HAS TAKEN A SON.”
5	Mā lahum bihi min ʿilmin walā li-ābāʾihim; kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwāhihim in yaqūlūna illā kadhibâ.	THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF IT, NOR DID THEIR FATHERS. GRAVE IS THE WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS; THEY SPEAK NOTHING BUT A LIE.
6	Fa-laʿallaka bākhiʿun nafsaka ʿalā āthārihim in lam yuʾminū bihādhā al-ḥadīthi asafâ.	THEN, WOULD YOU KILL YOURSELF WITH GRIEF OVER THEM, IF THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN THIS MESSAGE?
7	Innā jaʿalnā mā ʿalā al-arḍi zīnatan lahā lina-bluwahum ayyuhum aḥsanu ʿamalâ.	INDEED, WE HAVE MADE THAT WHICH IS ON THE EARTH AN ADORNMENT FOR IT, THAT WE MAY TEST THEM AS TO WHICH OF THEM IS BEST IN DEED.
8	Wa innā la-jāʿilūna mā ʿalayhā ṣaʿīdan juruzâ.	AND INDEED, WE WILL MAKE WHAT IS UPON IT A BARREN WASTELAND.
9	Am ḥasibta anna aṣ-ḥāba al-kahfi wa ar-raqīmi kānū min āyātinā ʿajabâ?	OR HAVE YOU THOUGHT THAT THE COMPANIONS OF THE CAVE AND THE INSCRIPTION WERE, AMONG OUR SIGNS, A WONDER?
10	Idh awā al-fityatu ilā al-kahfi faqālū rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan wa hayyiʾ lanā min amrinā rashadâ.	WHEN THE YOUTHS REFUGED IN THE CAVE AND SAID, “OUR LORD, GRANT US MERCY FROM YOURSELF AND GUIDE US IN OUR AFFAIR TO RIGHT CONDUCT.”
