Oliver Jeffers
Stuck Hardcover – Oliver Jeffers is an artist as well as a designer, illustrator, as well as a author who hails from Northern Ireland.
From collage, figurative painting and installation, to illustration and award-winning picture books, Oliver Jeffers practice takes various forms.
His distinctive artworks are displayed in a variety of cities and museums, including The National Portrait Gallery in London as well as his own Brooklyn Museum New York.
USA publish his picture books. translated into more than 36 languages and counting, such as The Incredible Book Eating Boy as well as his New York Times Bestseller Books
Oliver was awarded his first Emmy at the end of 2010 in recognition of his collaboration with filmmaker and artist Mac Premo. Oliver has worked on artwork on behalf of Newsweek, The New York Times, United Airlines, TED, Nintendo, and has illustrated a variety of novels.
The year 2007 saw the first time that Jeffers worked as an official artist for World Book Day.
Lost and Found was Oliver’s debut novel that was transformed into an animated film by London-based Studio AKA, screening on Christmas Eve 2008 on Channel 4 in the UK and on Nickelodeon in the US and Australia.
The year 2013 saw Jeffers created the cover (a sketch that depicts Nelson Mandela) for the U2 song “Ordinary Love”. Jeffers also directed (with Mac Premo) the video for the U2 song “Ordinary Love”.
Oliver was born living in Belfast Northern Ireland and now lives and is employed at Brooklyn, New York.
