About the Author
Bruce Degen, the best-selling illustrator and author of the Jamberry is a perennial favorite and winner of many awards-winning books for children. He is also the illustrator and author Doodlebug and Sailaway of the popular Magic School Bus series, Joanna Cole.
Bruce Degen has been an artist since childhood. He was a teacher of art in New York City’s schools and managed an Israeli artist’s lithography workshop. He was educated both at Pratt Institute and the Cooper Union. He was born in Brooklyn, just like Charlie Muttnik. He lives now in Connecticut with his family.
