Book of Common Prayer PDF. Salah or Salat is one of the five pillars in Islam and it is a central worship among the Muslims. It entails the mandatory prayer 5 times a day at predetermined hours, and is a direct form of communication with Allah. Salah is a very important aspect of the everyday life of Muslims, since they want to find guidance, forgiveness, and blessings of Allah, and to address their rights to Him.
It consists of certain physical movements and sayings whilst facing the Qiblah (the direction of Makkah in the Ka’bah). The Salah is also important as it requires one to be focused and concentrate on the presence of Allah.
