لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ

يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخُيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ

La ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamd,
yuḥyī wa yumīt, wa huwa ḥayyul lā yamūt, bi-yadihil khayr, wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.

Dua For Marketplace Transliteration:

THERE IS NO DEITY EXCEPT ALLAH, ALONE, WITHOUT PARTNER.
TO HIM BELONGS THE DOMINION AND TO HIM BELONGS ALL PRAISE.
HE GIVES LIFE AND CAUSES DEATH, AND HE IS EVER-LIVING AND DOES NOT DIE.
IN HIS HAND IS ALL GOOD, AND HE IS OVER ALL THINGS COMPETENT.

Dua For Marketplace is a highly religious act and is entrenched in the Sunnah and the Islamic teaching. It is a way of attracting the blessings and guidance of Allah on our business activities and also a reminder of the value of doing business in an upright and ethical manner. It should also be mentioned that charity done with a sincere intention can also contribute to granting our dua. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: charity does not reduce wealth (Sahih Muslim).

Thus, when we incorporate the religious duty of taking dua and the religious duty of charity giving, we are likely to achieve success and prosperity in this worldly and spiritual path.
