Dua of Musa Alayhi’salam (عـلـيـه الـسـلام) – Learn Islam

Dua of Musa Alayhi’salam – The du’a was recited after Musa occurred in the aftermath of Musa (as) had been exiled from the city, and into the desert and head towards Madyan.

After a long trip in the desert, prophet Musa (as) encountered an enclave of shepherds, who had been watering their flocks at a water source. While they were observing He observed two women waiting in the back , accompanied by their flock. Why? Whatever the reason, they felt it was more secure to be patient rather than get involved with the men gathering at the well.

They told Musa (as) they were told that their father was elderly man, and was no longer able to provide for their family and they were forced to assume the responsibility.

Keep in mind this: Musa (as) himself had been tired and dishevelled after his journey, and he likely had nothing to eat or drink. However, he sympathized with their predicament, “So he watered (their flocks) to help them.

Then returning toward the sun. …”( in the shade.) when turning back to the shade, he repeated this du’a Rabbi innee the limaaa anzalta ilaiya min Khair the faqeer which means, “My Lord, indeed I am, whatever good You could bring to me who is in dire need.”

AMAZONE:

Musa (as) was able to act in a manner that was exemplary to aid these women in a town that was strangers. He offered prayers to Allah and asked him to grant him opportunities to perform actions of kindness like what that he performed. It is important to note that after he helped the women, they did not remain to mix, it is said that he “watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade”. Musa (as) as in the du’a also explains his status to say that he’s faqeer, meaning desperate or in need.

LESSON FROM THIS DU’A

Dua of Musa Alayhi’salam – What can we learn about this prayer is that if there are any skeletons in your household, you must to be praying to Allah and ask yourself : What positive impact can I make for the world at present?

To Musa (as) his name is Musa (as) demise of the man was a heavy burden on his mind and he assumed the responsibility of self-redemption. Every opportunity that presented itself to make a difference was considered as a blessing from Allah to rectify his mistakes.

Think about how create a situation where my existence has helped make our world better one and not the opposite?

It doesn’t mean that we should build an institution that can help millions of people. What’s important is that we begin somewhere. What you can do now with the resources you have is enough, stop the beginning of your journey at a determined date in the future.

Do not let the chatter inside your head that wishes to delay, “oh, once my kid graduates from high school” or “oh when I’ve got this, that, and the other one the next thing I will do.” …”. This is a risky method of rationalizing that you aren’t doing anything, because can easily start to believe in it.

WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED TIME ON THIS PLANET

Dua of Musa Alayhi’salam – The average person will spend around 900 months of their life on earth (that’s 75 years when you calculate it) And our youth is the majority of that time (684 hours left) However, this doesn’t take into account the time that are spent watching TV, sleeping as well as commuting and working that could consume another 70 percent.

That leaves us with the equivalent of 205 months.

This number is a bit scary to me.

I’m telling you this because we need to feel the urgency to act immediately. The proverb says, “the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second-best time is now”.

The sooner you start planting, the earlier you can give yourself that your seed will grow and blossom into something bigger than you could ever thought of. Even if the reality of your endeavor didn’t match your expectations, what would you feel by the fact that (1) you tried and tried, and (2) your efforts have changed the lives of an person for the better?

As we have learned from Musa (as) the best way to behave and get rid of your sins is to accumulate more positive actions. Every chance to be good is a chance that Allah has given you, therefore, you must grab it and take it. Get up each day and try to be aware of all opportunities that are available and be thankful to Allah for the opportunity to help others today.

CONCLUSION

What could we be learning?

Dua of Musa Alayhi’salam – We are able to continuously pray Allah (swt) for His blessings to protect us His blessings. We should strive to be kind and assist people in times in need, even when we are ourselves in need.

It is possible to use this prayer to pray to Allah to help us in moments of need, because the fact is that we constantly find ourselves in a state of need. Since Allah (swt) has been the wealthy and strong One, and we are weak and weak.

(Anything positive comes coming from Allah all of us and anything wrong/incorrect is my fault. If I have made any errors I have made, please amend me. Should you happen to have thoughts about this, please make sure to share them with me.

Jazakum Allah Khair)
