Tehran Hosts Prestigious International Quran Competition: A Global Celebration of Quranic Excellence

Explore the Rich Tapestry of Islamic Knowledge as Participants Converge in Tehran for the International Quran Competition” Mehdi Khamushi, director of the State Endowment and Charity Affairs Organization who is the principal participant in the Quran competition minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili minister of Education Reza Morad Sahraei and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf graced the opening ceremony with their presence.

The total number of reciters and memoryers from 44 nations have come together to take part in this prestigious event, which will run through the 21st of February.

Competitors from a variety of nations such as Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Lebanon, India as well as India, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Tunisia, Russia, Ivory Coast, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Senegal, Syria, Iraq, Canada and several other nations are competing for the top prize in a variety of categories, including recitation tarteel, interpretation, and Quran memorization.

Parallel to the main contest in parallel with the main competition is the event known as the International Quran Competition for School Students and is set to end on the 21st of February.

Tehran Hosts Prestigious International Quran Competition: A Global Celebration of Quranic Excellence, Quran, Quran Arabic Text

The event is being broadcast by more than 40 television networks.

The theme is “One Book One Ummah, the Book of Resistance,” this issue pays tribute to all the victims of the opposition, with participants of Palestine and Gaza attending.

In addition to the contests the participants will be able to participate in a wide range of events, such as exhibits that are educational and cultural and family counseling services designed specifically for children, as well as the dedicated room for children that allows mothers to spend time with their children.

The International Quran Competition is organized every year, a few weeks prior to Ramadan in the Tehran’s Islamic Summit Conference Hall.

The Quran Channel of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting has recorded the recitations each year, which are broadcast during the month of fasting.
