Prayer of Forgiveness in English Translation

The Prophet PBUH said,

“When creation was complete, Allah wrote, “Verily, My mercy overpowers My wrath,” in His book with Him on the throne. [Sahih al-Bukhari #3194]

Prayer of Forgiveness in English Translation

Duas from hadith

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ له وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عنْه وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ

And cleanse him/her with fresh and cold water and clean him/her of any errors like white cloth is cleansed.

وَاغْسِلْهُ بمَاءٍ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنْ اَلْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبُ الأبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ

وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِن دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِن أَهْلِهِ

وَأَدْخِلْهُ اَلْجَنَّةَ وَقِهِ فِتْنَةَ القَبْرِ وَعَذَابَ النَّارِ

2. A powerful dua mentioned in Sahih Ibn Maja (1/251)

اللهُـمِّ اغْفِـرْ لِحَيِّـنا وَمَيِّتِـنا

Both those present and those who are not

وَشـاهِدِنا وَغائِبِـنا
وَصَغيـرِنا وَكَبيـرِنا
Our women and men

وَذَكَـرِنا وَأُنْثـانا

اللَّهُـمِّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْـتَهُ مِنّا
Give him a life in Islam.

فَأَحْيِـهِ عَلى الإِسْلام
and anybody you remove from us

وَمَنْ تَوَفَّـيْتَهُ مِنّا فَتَوَفَّـهُ عَلى الإِيـمان
Take him away with faith.

اللَّهُـمِّ لا تَحْـرِمْنـا أَجْـرَه

وَلا تُضِـلَّنا بَعْـدَه

and don’t let us wander from it.
