Dua For Protection in Pregnancy. You can make a few du’as to request protection during your pregnancy. These include general health and defense against injury.

Protection from harm

Prophet Ibrahim, your ancestor, used to recite the following in order to ask Allah for refuge for Isaac and Ishmael: “O Allah! With Your Perfect Words, I seek refuge from all bad, harmful, jealous eyes, toxic vermin, and devils. Sahih al-Bukhari]

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ ‏”‏‏.

Three Quls

The three Quls (Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah an-Nas) should be read three times in the morning and evening, three times before bed, once after each Salāh, and once when you are ill for protection.

Say “Bismillah” before each Three surahs

Surah al-Ikhlas

قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ ، اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ ، لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Transliteration: Qul Huwa-llāhu Aḥad. Allāhu-ṣ-Ṣamad. Lam yalid wa lam yūlad. Wa lam yakul-lahū kufuwan aḥad.

Surah al-Falaq

قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ، مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Transliteration: Bismi-llāhi-r-Raḥmāni-r-Raḥīm. Qul aʿūdhu bi-Rabbi-l-falaq. Min sharri mā khalaq. Wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab. Wa min sharri-n-naffāthāti fi-l-ʿuqad. Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad. [Qur’an | Surah Al-Falaq | 113:1-5]

Surah Al-Nas

قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ، مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ، إِلٰهِ النَّاسِ ، مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ، اَلَّذِيْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ ، مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Transliteration: Bismi-llāhi-r-Raḥmāni-r-Raḥīm. Qul aʿūdhu bi-Rabbi-n-nās. Maliki-n-nās. Ilāh-hin-nās. Min sharri-l-waswāsi-l-khannās. Al-ladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri-n-nās. Mina-l-jinnati wa-n-nās. [Qur’an | Surah Al-Nas 114:1-6]

Surah Fatihah

 الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

 الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

 مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

 إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

 اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

 صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
