La’allaka bākhi’un nafsaka allā yakūnū mu’minīnaPerhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.
In nasha’ nunazzil ‘alayhim mina as-samā’i āyatan faẓallat a’nāquhum lahā khāḍi’īnaIf We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign, so their necks would remain humbled to it.
5وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَWa mā ya’tīhim min dhikrin mina ar-raḥmāni muḥdathin illā kānū ‘anhu mu’riḍīnaAnd no fresh reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
